Vináttulag rokkbúða Íslands og Tógó er afurð samstarfs tveggja samtaka sem bjóða stúlkum og krökkum sem tilheyra jaðarsettum kynjum upp á valdeflandi tónlistarkennslu. Þátttakendur í Tógó lögðu grunn að laginu og dansinum í raftónlistar- og danstímum í páskabúðunum og í júní sama ár tóku íslenskir þátttakendur við keflinu og kláruðu lagið og dansinn. Lagið er alfarið samið af þátttakendum en sjálfboðaliðar Læti! tónlistar sáu um upptökur, hljóðblöndun og klippingu.

Í rokkbúðum fá krakkar tækifæri til að rækta sjálfsmynd sína, efla hæfileika og læra nýja færni. Saman lærum við um eigin réttindi og hvernig við getum virt réttindi, menningu og fjölbreytileika annarra. Verkefnið veitir börnum aðgang að listum og þátttöku í menningarlífi. Rokkbúðir á Íslandi tengjast rokkbúðum í Tógó vináttuböndum og gefa þátttakendum beggja landa víðari sýn á heiminn. Það er spennandi fyrir þau að tengjast jafnöldrum í landi sem er langt að heiman í gegnum tónlistarsköpun!

Læti! tónlist (áður Stelpur rokka!) og Association Mirlinda standa að verkefninu.

Námskeiðin sem haldin voru og myndbandið sem hér sést er hluti af stóru verkefni sem er styrkt af utanríkisráðuneytinu.

Lagið er komið út á helstu streymisveitum og heitir Vináttulag – Chanson d’amité eftir Læti! tónlist og Rock Camp Togo.

La chanson de l’amitié est le fruit d’une collaboration entre deux organisations du Togo et d’Islande qui proposent une éducation musicale stimulante aux filles et aux enfants issus de milieux défavorisés. Les participantes togolaises ont posé les bases de la chanson et de la danse lors des cours de musique électronique et de danse du camp de Pâques. En juin de la même année, des participantes islandaises ont pris le relais et ont finalisé la chanson et la danse. La chanson a été entièrement écrite par les participantes, tandis que des bénévoles de Læti! Music se sont occupés de l’enregistrement, du mixage et du montage.

Au camp de rock, les enfants ont la chance d’explorer qui ils sont, de développer leurs talents et d’acquérir de nouvelles compétences. Ensemble, nous apprenons nos droits et comment respecter les droits, la culture et la diversité des autres. Le projet ouvre aux enfants l’accès aux arts et à la vie culturelle. Les camps de rock en Islande sont liés aux camps de rock au Togo par l’amitié, offrant aux participants des deux pays une vision plus large du monde. C’est une vraie aventure pour eux de partager la musique et de se connecter avec des camarades dans un pays si lointain !

Le projet est porté par Læti! musique (anciennement Stelpur rokka!) et Association Mirlinda.

Les ateliers organisés et la vidéo présentée ici font partie d’un projet plus large financé par le Ministère des Affaires étrangères d’Islande.

Friendship song is the product of a collaboration between two organizations in Togo and Iceland that offer empowering music education to girls and kids belonging to marginalized genders. Participants in Togo laid the foundation for the song and dance during electronic music and dance classes at the Easter camp, and in June of the same year, Icelandic participants took over and completed the song and dance. The song was entirely written by the participants, while volunteers from Læti! Music took care of the recording, mixing, and editing.

At rock camp, kids get the chance to explore who they are, grow their talents, and build new skills. Together we learn about our own rights and how to respect the rights, cultures, and diversity of others. The project opens doors for children to take part in the arts and cultural life. Rock camps in Iceland are connected with rock camps in Togo through friendship, giving participants in both countries a broader view of the world. It’s exciting for them to connect with peers in a place so far from home through music!
